Sonata for Phi (2025)

with Audacity® I found, an electric phin can sound like eerie violins or violas. What could be more natural than composing a sonata for phi (ghosts)?

Sonata in three movements. 1st: Appearance, 2nd: March, 3rd: Disappearance.

Each movement of the sonata consists of a single phin track that has been doubled, edited, and otherwise manipulated. For technical reasons, the tracks contain residual noises from drums and bass. You will hear this leftovers, e.g. as groans or laments of the phi in the second movement.
